Accusing the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman of being biased and trying to defame politicians belonging to opposition parties, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Shahid Khaqan Abbasi announced, on Tuesday, that he would make the statements of his assets — which he had submitted to the anti-graft body — available online.
“Accountability is only for our party and the only way for someone to save their skin is to join the government ranks,” the former prime minister said at a news conference in Islamabad.
“The NAB chairman [Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal] has no right to hurl baseless allegations against politicians and take sides,” he added.
“Aleem Khan [Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader] gets bail but [ex-principal secretary to the PM] Fawad Hasan Fawad and [ex-LDA DG] Ahad Cheema don’t,” he noted.
“How will bureaucrats continue working in these circumstances?
